Kissing the Blarney Stone is just something you seem to have to do while you are here. They don't make it easy though as it is below the floor level of the top of the tower so you need to lean over backwards down into a hole to reach it! Someone is there to make sure you don't slip down too far and get stuck. It is quite scary actually.
